Waves, Fields, and Antennas

Ricks College, Rexburg, Idaho, 1989. The course was Physics - electricity and magnetism. The professor was Richard Graham. The text, still on my shelf within my view, “Physics”, by Hans C. Ohanian. The binding has come off, and the text is in two pieces. Most students took the course because it was on the required list, and vowed never to do anything with it again. For me it gave inspiration for my career. Maxwell’s equations fascinated me. I imagined that I would have to become a teacher so I could get paid to work with them because that would make a career pure fun. I did extra unassigned problems from the book. It would be a while before I found antenna engineering, one of the many careers that are based on Maxwell’s equations.
